The submission of final papers to IFAC 2017 World Congress is now over. The PaperCept submission site for final manuscript upload has closed as announced. The deadline had been extended twice, a first time from 31 March to 7 April, and then to 10 April. The Program Chairs are now finalizing the detailed schedule of the 400 sessions and will not accept any late submission except if the authors can provide rapidly a very convincing reason for not having been able to meet the deadline.

The next important date is 15 April: deadline for early registration fees. Starting from 16 April at 0:00 in Toulouse, France, the registrations fees will be increased to the final values. See details on the registration page.

Registration issues

Dear colleagues,
The registration team is working hard in answering the questions and issues that some of you have. The fact that about 3000 persons register in less than 2 weeks time makes the situation critical. So please be patient and avoid solicitations that could find answers in the Congress web pages.

Deadline. The deadline for final paper submission has been extended to 7 April in order to handle the registration issues.
Do not wait for the last days to proceed with registration. In the afternoon of 30 March the registration server counts about 1300 registrations and PaperCept counts 920 final papers uploaded. With 2800 papers accepted to the Congress, next week will be very busy.
Slow server. If the server is too slow, try to connect a little later. The technical staff is doing its best to increase the server capacities.
Credit card only. Registration fees and other items can be paid by credit card only (CB, VISA, MASTERCARD). Other payment means such as bank transfer are administratively too complex and time consuming. Sorry for that.
Lost in registration? Please read the registration procedure.
Application Days registration gives access only to the two last days of the Congress (13&14 July). If your presentation is scheduled at other days of the Congress you shall not be able to attend to it with an Application Days only registration.
My login? When you connect to the registration system for the first time, you shall "Create a new profile".
Papers upload. When you declare papers for upload, enter each paper one by one, specifying each time the submission number, and only the submission number. Be carful when doing so. Errors generate erroneous upload codes.
Upload codes? The upload codes are contained in the confirmation/invoice that you receive by email after payment.
Invitation letters? The invitation letters are contained in the email you receive after payment.
Contact data? If needed for your visa formalities, you may use the Congress contact information.
I can't wait. The email sent after payment may take some time to get to your inbox. It is sent only after payment confirmation by the bank.
I don't receive. Be sure the email you declare is valid and your server does not filter messages with attachments.
Detailed invoices with additional data may be generated only after payment, and after 15 April.
Workshops only? Workshops and Tutorials registrations are accessible only to congress attendees. Registration to IFAC pre-Congress Workshops and Tutorials only, without regisration to the World Congress is not permitted.

Meanwhile, the International Program Committee is elaborating the detailed Congress Schedule. The 2800 accepted presentations need to be organized in coherent sessions while avoiding conflicts such as two presentations of a same author at a same time. The program should be finalized in the second half of April.

Final Paper Submission deadline postponed

The deadline for final paper upload has been postponed to 7 April 2017 in order to facilitate registrations and paper upload. This is a firm deadline and there will be no further extension.

According to the IFAC World Congress conditions, final paper upload is bound to payment of fees by at least one of the authors of the paper. Full registration includes two paper uploads. Student registration includes one paper upload. Uploading additional papers is possible for all registration types. Papers have limited number of pages but some additional pages are permitted bound to payment of additional fees.

Submission of IFAC extended abstracts has closed on 7 December, less than a month after the deadline for IFAC-standard papers. All submissions are now under review. The program of the Congress will be announced in February.

Based on the data available on 12 December 2016, the total number of contributions is 4256 which include:

Here is an update on reminders concerning paper submission:

The submission procedure is described in details at www.ifac2017.org/submit. Please read the instructions carefully before sending questions to the IPC. The ipc@ifac2017.org mailbox may well be saturated at some point.
In case you have been invited to do so, do not forget to choose "Invited session paper" as submission type, and enter the code provided by the session organizer. Be aware that the session code is not the same as the session ID. The session code is composed of a sequence of five alphanumeric characters, while session ID is a number between 1 and 1000.
Check the open invited track topics at www.ifac2017.org/OIT. If you feel your contribution falls in one of these topics you may submit your contribution as "Open Invited Track paper" and please use the code corresponding to the track as listed at www.ifac2017.org/OIT.
If a code does not work, it might be because you selected the wrong submission type. "Open Invited Track paper" submission cannot be entered to the system when choosing "Invited session paper" type.
Deadline will not be changed. 11 November is the final deadline.
The submission site remains open until date change in the Pacific. Server time can be checked when connecting to the ifac.papercept.net page dedicated to IFAC 2017 submissions.

Do not wait the last minute to start submitting your contribution!

To avoid and last minute difficulties, we recommend to start the submission procedure as soon as possible. The corresponding author has the possibility to update the submitted information, including the paper submission type, and the PDF files, as long as the deadline has not been reached.
