Submission of IFAC extended abstracts has closed on 7 December, less than a month after the deadline for IFAC-standard papers. All submissions are now under review. The program of the Congress will be announced in February.

Submission of Invited Sessions and Open Invited Tracks is now closed. The final consolidated figures are 99 submitted Open Invited Tracks and 51 submitted Invited Sessions. Many thanks to all contributors and looking forward for receiving best research results for all these topics.

Submission of open invited tracks has closed on September 15. The last submitted contributions are validated. All validated contributions appear in the open invited track list. Authors are invited to contribute to these topics or to any other topic that fall in the fields covered by the IFAC Technical Areas. Next deadlines for contributions to the IFAC 2017 program are as follows.

15 October 2016: Invited session submission deadline
31 October 2016: IFAC-standard papers submission deadline, i.e. contributed papers and surveys in regular sessions, in invited sessions and in open invited tracks
30 November 2016: Workshops, tutorials and extended abstracts submission deadline

More than a hundred contributions, and less than 10 weeks before deadline

On Monday, August 22, the number of submitted contributions to IFAC 2017 World Congress has risen over one hundred. There is still more than two months left before deadline (see call for papers) and this figure is encouraging. At this stage, two-thirds of the contributions are Open Invited Tracks (see here the list of submitted tracks). It is a great success for this new type that seems to do more than replace the usual Invited Session type (5 submitted sessions until now).

Concerning the topics, the coordinating committee on Design Methods is leading with one-third of all submitted contributed papers. Coordinating committee on Power and Process systems is also going quite well.
